Featured Artist: Stephanie Gough

As a child, Stephanie Gough dreamed of becoming an artist.  She searched in vain for a way to express her inner creativity, sometimes even paying her brother for drawing lessons!  Not until adulthood did Stephanie finally discover an outlet for her artistic abilities.  Once she picked up a camera, there was no turning back.

Camera in hand, Stephanie now passionately expresses her unique view of the world through her art. She seeks to find beauty in everything and share it with others.  Photography provides a constant challenge that is exhilarating and fulfilling. Shooting with her trademark shallow depth of field, Stephanie transforms the mundane into magnificent works of art.

When she’s not clicking away, Stephanie’s probably busy homeschooling her two teenage daughters or wrangling one (or all three) of the family pets!  A Smyrna resident of 12+ years, Stephanie enjoys attending Cumberland with her husband, Gaius Gough and her two daughters, Emma and Camille.

About the Exhibition:

Fences are among Stephanie’s most favorite things to photograph.  She thinks they make a wonderful framework for both portrait and still life pieces.  Mesmerizing and captivating, fences make excellent subjects for creative compositions.
